The Following Are Common Misconceptions

• Our season picks up in the spring and dies in the winter!   

           The truth is most small companies fall into such a trap.  Lack of training in marketing as well as lack of expansion training will create an on-going battle for growth.  While the small companies stay small the larger companies grow on a continuous basis without lost revenue in the winter months.  We can train you to overcome your fixed ideas about winter.

• Adding a higher dose of pesticides will do a better, quicker job.

          This is totally false!  Following the label is the key to an effective reduction of pests.  Millions of dollars as well as thousands of hours of testing by the chemical companies create the proper usage and amounts of pesticides to be used.  ALWAYS REFER TO THE LABEL FOR PROPER USAGE.

• As an owner I need the training, my staff is expected to know their stuff. That is what I pay them for!

This idea will keep your company small and you will experience a high turnover of staff. A well-trained staff is the key to long term growth and survival.  

• It does not pay to advertise, it doesn't work well anyway!

Have you ever considered what advertising is supposed to do?  The result of advertising is simply to get the person to pick up the telephone and call you.  Lack of training by reception or offering services you do not do (24-hour service) will kill ALL marketing campaigns.  We offer training in reception and communications.

• We are different, we use IPM!

           IPM is used by every company.  Although pesticides are important to any successful program.  Proper inspection and identification procedures are the key to long term success.

• Illegal mixing of pesticides is good and will give me the results needed!

            This is totally false and illegal.  Using incompatible pesticides will give you bad results and may cost you or license as well as heavy fines.  Educate yourself with the various labels.  Find out which pesticides work together to create a successful pest program.  

• I just want credits.  I don't need training!

              Credits will keep you licensed but training will make you money.  Get trained and grow.  The truth is your way of thinking may be outdated.  And may be keeping you down.
